Problem
The Existing Gym Advisors wensite was determined by owner to not be fit for purpose due to downturn in signups for new users. In efforts to grow the number of personals trainers signing up to the service content strategy was determined to be the most effective was of increasing new signups.
Solution
Redesign the gym advisors website to correctly attract more personal trainers to the service. Using content strategy on website messaging to properly engage both trainers and individuals, and refining signup process to limit time to sign up to grow userbase.
Evalute
To discover why users are not signing up for the serivce, reseach was conducted by myself and other members of the design team on the signup service and questionnaire.
User Research
Using a sample size of seven potential clients and seven Personal Trainers this website along with competitors were tested to determine issues in sign up. Finding were noted for later analysis.
Research Findings
From the Empathy Map & Affinity Map common themes were grouped by design team to determine the following pain points and user goals
Pain Points
Client
- Needs emphasis on other service PT's offer
- Change in style from page to page makes uses feel mistrusting of service
- Match me questionnaire is too long
- Pricing options are not clear
- User cannot see the trainers who they will be matched with quickly
- Unsure what will happen after the questionnaire is over
Trainer
- No clear idea of how trainers sign up for service
- Lack of back button on certain actions
- Questionnaire is too long & Irrelevant
- How clients are matched with PT's is not explained
- Unsure what will happen after the questionnaire is over
User Goals
Client
- Make users feel secure and informed by emphasising the multitude of benefits working with a PT can offer
- Unify design style among all pages of website
- Shorten Questionnaire to most relevant details and set clear expectations for length
- Include transparent pricing information
- Set clear expectations for user what will happen after questionnaire
Trainer
- Explain matching process clearly to build trust with trainers to make it easier for new Pt's to find clients
- Include CTA for trainer signup as prominently as trainee
- Provide clear back button when needed

From the research gather in the evaluation stage of development vaious ideas were created which can be tested on potential users for feedback; iteration and improvments.

After Iteration the final design process can begin to ensure the service is visualy appealing aswell as containing content that will appeal to target users.
Equal Prominance for users
Included equally prominant CTA's for all users on website homepage to aid in signup time for personal trainers.
Time Expectations
Expectations for time questionnaire will take, as well as number of questions set expactations for the User and allow them to make decision to continue with this knowledge.
Choice & Transparency
Users are shown who their potential matches are; can view their availability, location and pricing information. This also allows the user to choose who they may want to train with.
Designs were created for the owners of the business to keep standards for creating maintaning the website
